  • Encounter Weekends include a 2-night stay at a retreat center with your own full bed in a shared room, several teaching and equipping sessions, training materials, and incredible meals throughout the weekend.

    Come be equipped, empowered, and encouraged as you learn about the value of finding your purpose. You will walk away with lifelong friends and lessons that will bring you closer to the Lord.

  • A One-Day Encounter is a full day of Biblical teaching and training spent at our cozy office in downtown Rockwall, TX. Lunch, snacks, coffee, and a printed workbook will be provided.

    Come ready to be equipped, empowered, and encouraged. You will walk away with lifelong friends and lessons that will bring you closer to the Lord.

  • Choose to Soar offers 7 Bible Studies throughout the year. Each study is 3 to 4 weeks long and meets on Thursdays with morning and evening class options. The morning class meets from 9:30am to 11:30am, and the evening class meets from 6:45pm to 8:30 pm.

  • Absolutely, we have so many women who attend by themselves and find lifelong friends at our events.

  • Our discipleship program consists of 6 Encounter Weekends/One-Day Encounters. We believe when a woman completes all 6, she is a well-rounded disciple of Jesus fully equipped to serve herself, her family, workplace, community, and church.

    • “Live with Purpose” Encounter Weekend: Discovering who God created her to be and learning how to find her identity in Christ (“Live with Purpose II” Encounter Weekend is a follow up Encounter and deeper dive into this topic but not required in the Discipleship Program).

    • “After It Breaks: Rebuilding After Loss” Encounter Weekend: Learning to navigate grief and loss of all types with a Biblical lens (this Encounter Weekend is offered twice annually).

    • “Learn to Love the Word” Encounter Weekend: Learning how to read the Bible in context and fall deeper in love with God through His Word.

    • “Sharing Your Faith In Today’s Culture” One-Day Encounter: Growing in confidence when sharing her faith with others in today’s society in a way that feels natural.

    • “Disciple Like Jesus” One-Day Encounter: Learning how to effectively point someone towards Jesus and disciple others as Jesus commissioned us to do.

    • “Lead with Passion” One-Day Encounter: Empowering her to lead herself and others in her circle of influence from a place of passionate pursuit of the Lord.description

  • Sign up to attend any Encounter Weekend or One-Day Encounter and you will automatically be enrolled in the Discipleship Program! There is no obligation to attend every Encounter, but it is recommended to receive the most life transformation out of our teaching.

  • Not yet, but we anticipate making childcare available for our Bible studies in 2027.

    • All Bible Studies and One-Day Encounters are held in our Equipping Room in Rockwall, TX. (303 E Rusk St Suite 200, Rockwall, TX 75087)

    • Unless otherwise noted, most Encounter Weekends are held at Mt. Lebanon Camp and Conference Center in Cedar Hill, TX. (1701 Texas Plume Rd, Cedar Hill, TX 75104)

  • As an equipping ministry, our focus is on transforming lives through practical, Biblical instruction. Everything you learn here at Choose to Soar is designed specifically to equip, encourage, and empower you to grow in your faith.

    Every teaching is purposeful and practical with the goal of igniting your faith, which in turn changes your life.

  • No, we are not directly affiliated with a specific church. In fact, we have served women from over 95 different churches of many different denominations (and many women who don’t attend church) through our equipping events.

  • Our office is on the second floor of a historic building right off of the downtown Rockwall square (303 E Rusk St Suite 204, Rockwall, TX 75087).

  • We are open for events only. You can request to use our Resource Room or Prayer Room by filling out the contact above or by emailing manager@choosetosoar.com.

    • Our staff will be present to greet you and direct you to the right space! 

    • We will have snacks and coffee available.

    • We have name tags to help you get to know the people around you.

    • You can expect practical, biblical teaching every time.

    • You can also expect to HAVE FUN!!

  • No, right now all events are in-person only.

  • If you’re coming to our office, there is a free parking lot behind our building and a row of parking spaces in front of the building. There is also free parking all along the Rockwall square which is just a short walk from our building.

    • We are excited to have a podcast coming soon! (September 2026)

    • We have a published prayer book (Prayers For The Battle Beyond This World: 40 Days of Prayer for Fighting Spiritual Battles) available on Amazon.

    • We also have a Resource Room and a Prayer Room that are available for individual use and small group use with advanced notice!

    • We are not able to rent out our main Equipping Room. It is reserved for Choose to Soar events only.

    • Our Resource Room is available for one-on-one Bible studies or mentoring and for church small groups (no more than 20 people) upon request.

    • Our Prayer Room is available for individual use upon request.
