Whom Do You Love?

Before you answer that question with the usual list of spouse, kids, family, friends, will you take a moment to ponder the question at a deeper level?

If you are in Christ, take time to search for what the question is really asking. Who is truly your All in All, the One who gave His life for you? Who is on the throne of your life? Jesus wants to be your first love, filling the wellspring of your life. 

The church of Ephesus did great things for God, yet He had a problem with them. They had forsaken their first love. They had lost their passion for God.  (Rev.2:4) 

Let’s be honest, it’s easy to lose our passion for lots of things. The world today is a battleground for our passions. Some days we can barely make it.

Matthew 6:33 calls us to “Seek first His kingdom, and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” How do we do that?

Spend time every day in God’s Word. Receive the depth of His love letter to you. Learn how to love the Word of the One who loved you first.
